Nike - Olympic Clubhouse

2016 / Amsterdam

Using a brand’s heritage to build an authentic community space

ASK

Inspire both top athletes and the public with a showcase of Nike’s rich Olympic history, while also launching the brand’s Rio 2016 collection.

ANSWER

We created The Clubhouse, a space to host athletes before they competed in the Euro Championships, pre-Rio, in Amsterdam, and it was later opened to the public. Centred around a running track, our journey of discovery started in the past, celebrating Nike’s Olympic wins, moved onto the present, looking at new tech and innovation, through to the future, with visitors projecting themselves into campaign visuals via our photobooth. The Clubhouse became the home of Nike Run Club, HIIT classes, talks, workshops, and a rave. We also launched the official Nike Olympic advert, kit and new Volt+ colourway.

WHY IT MATTERED

  • 1,500 guests.
  • 50 world-class athletes.
  • 10 HIIT classes.
  • 5 run clubs.
  • 1 rave.
